My beautiful pain <br />I self-destruct for you. <br />Your dark eyes call to me. <br />I run from you, <br />Away from you to another drink <br />Another distraction, <br />Any escape from the pain you cause my soul. <br />But again I find my way back to your torturous charms, <br />your chilling embrace. <br />In the circle of your arms I am stabbed, <br />I am pierced through. <br />My eyes bleed tears of guilt. <br />Remorse runs down my ruined arms from an open wound, <br />Self-inflicted with your razor. <br />I look upon this total devestation I have become <br />And I wonder <br />Shall I save myself? <br />Shall I remove your dagger from my belly? <br />Do I turn away forever from your dark, beckoning eyes? <br />But no. <br />I return again to my beautiful pain <br />And die, cursed, in your arms.<br /><br />Meggan McGuire<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/beautiful-pain-3/
