A dream is something you want to come true… <br />One could spend their whole lives trying to fulfill their dreams <br />Would you want your dreams to come true? <br />Should I ask the same question to myself? <br />The question whether or not to plunge this knife through my heart <br />To hang myself from the old rope <br />What is your dream? <br />To run through the slanting slopes of the greenest hill, <br />To walk through the most colourful garden <br />Yet, to my eyes, all this would appear black and white <br />Not that black and white was not of my choosing, <br />It was a hope that has come true for me, <br />The hope to never see anything colourful, sweet and beautiful ever again <br />Like was my hope to finally slit my wrist <br />To bleed my blood as if it meant nothing <br />But a dream is more than a hope, like a vision you see <br />A dream is a wish your heart makes <br />But it will never come true, for me, at least <br />Or do you suggest I put this knife through my heart now?<br /><br />Forgotten Wound<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/hopes-and-dreams-7/
