Millions of summer days;
Millions of dreams,
People dream in summer holidays,
One such nice summer day,
In blithesome and mirth-loving June,
When sunny days shine gracefully,
Shinning like ageless heavenly days,
Enticed me to see nature close by,

Awake in the morning a little early;
Communion with Nature soul seeking so badly,
Saw myself on a treasure hunt of nature,
In meadow, brook, rill and valley,
With meadow I fell in love,
Grass so soft, gracious and cute,
Wished lying there and looking into sky,
Dazzling, azure and so lovely,
Baring my head and body,
To the breeze that comes gently,

Wished sitting by the brook;
Listening to the soft melody,
Of chattering and murmuring,
Of brook flowing near by
Oh! Brook where are you hailing from,
Which way you flow,
And which song you blow,
Whisper me low for I know,
Your quite surface and true flow
That lie beneath and only below,

Birds on tree-tops all day singing pleasantly;
Butterflies over every fragrant flower hovering beautifully,
Bees looking busy gathering honey sweetly,
Summer sky dropping down sweet little showers gently,
And over every brook and rill,
Moonbeams shimmering so softly,
Spellbound I saw myself lying naked in the grass
Among the trees and birds,
And felt I was communing with nature,
Oh! Summer all these beauties and wonders,
Only belong to you that bind us with nature ever and ever...........

DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/summer-dreams-9/
