What has Television Done? <br /> <br />'Created a whole new awareness. <br />And introduced the keeping of delusions.' <br /> <br />What has the internet done? <br /> <br />'Taken those delusions to confuse the truth. <br />So much so... <br />That those who expose 'everything' about themselves, <br />Today complain they have no privacy. <br />And prefer to keep their lives away from spies. <br />Or anyone else they believe is a stalker.' <br /> <br />But... <br />Haven't they already exposed themselves to millions? <br /> <br />'Yeah! <br />But they want to keep their lives away, <br />From the people they see depicted on TV. <br />You know... <br />The ones created to fear the most.' <br /> <br />That makes no sense. <br />If I wanted to I could create a villain. <br />But that would be deceiving. <br /> <br />'Welcome to the age of progress and technology. <br />Technically speaking, of course.' <br /> <br />Oh how I wish for the innocent '50's. <br /> <br />'Yeah. <br />Much easier it was to keep people dumbed down, <br />Unknowingly back 'then'. <br />Today? <br />People have that choice to make. <br />And for many this has been very profitable.'<br /><br />Lawrence S.
