Another thousand years, live on <br />From here to forever, next <br />Divinely purposed, born a beacon <br />Living God's love, in good acts <br /> <br />Diseased outcasts you touched <br />Abandoned dying, you fed and cared <br />Till their last moments you watched <br />Heaven's home sent, saintly-love shared <br /> <br />Little acts with great love, given <br />Crossing barriers, reaching God's children <br />Discarded lepers, aged, the forgotten <br />God touched, using hands of this instrument <br /> <br />Living a life of giving: a religion of love <br />A people, a nation, the world had come to know <br />That such great love, endowed from above <br />In Mother Teresa, a small woman, God's love aglow <br /> <br />For another thousand years to come <br />Would man care for his neglected neighbor? <br />If not, what has his educated self become? <br />A dark crow, for own selfish needs only, labour? <br /> <br />What kindness act has he shown? <br />What known love received, has he given? <br />Why neglect charity, even postpone? <br />How acts of kindness, taught to children? <br /> <br />Man must return to God's love <br />If he is to have a heart to serve <br />It's in giving, you receive <br />A law of life: cannot deceive.<br /><br />Paul Sebastian<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/acts-done-with-great-love/
