I discovered I was out of doubt mode, <br />When I stopped defending my attempts made... <br />To realize no one else, <br />Would take steps to put their necks on the line. <br />Or from them did I hear them speak passionately, <br />About that which they did that invigorated a purpose. <br />With a sacrificing of their time, mind and patience. <br />I can not afford a wasting of my stimulated expectations. <br /> <br />I knew then from 'hints' dropped by them, <br />What they sought was an ease to accomplish deeds. <br />And I looked forward to the dripping of sweat to do, <br />As part of a process if I wanted to obtain success. <br />I discovered I was out of doubt mode to leave pretense, <br />When I stopped defending my attempts made... <br />To improve on what was an acceptable effort, <br />With a making of every effort inexcusable if not my best.<br /><br />Lawrence S.
