In a world of harsh reality <br />When nothing matters anymore <br />I find it hard to remember <br />what dignity was for <br /> <br />I know that once there were manners <br />There were rules that kept us in check <br />I think that children learned from respect <br />I am sure in retrospect <br /> <br />We never saw sex and nudity <br />on the television <br />What happened to the standards of then? <br />Who made this bad decision? <br /> <br />Since all the values went out with the aged <br />I fear for the next generation <br />they flounder in an unstructured world <br />of sex and deprivation<br /><br />Janice M Pickett<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-lost-world-2/
