I came across an old letter <br />I had wrote to you, so long ago <br />It told of so much love <br />I was looking for ways for it to show <br /> <br />In this old love letter <br />Even I was in a bit of an aww <br />How could someone hold love so strongly <br />For someone they seldom saw <br /> <br />This old love letter <br />I had wrote it from my heart <br />But you never got to read it <br />For you said we must part <br /> <br />The love wrote in those lines <br />I still feel here yet today <br />But you had to move on <br />Not even hearing what I had to say <br /> <br />Oh we may never get to know <br />On just what might have been <br />But I'll always have sweet memories <br />Of you and I my sweet friend <br /> <br />But this old love letter <br />Has stood the test of time <br />And caused me to write these words <br />Except this time in a rhyme <br /> <br />This old love letter <br />Is like a treasure to me <br />Hidden await for many years <br />Just to bring back sweet memories <br /> <br />wrote 2/24/2009 by Norman Hale Jr<br /><br />norman hale<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/this-old-love-letter/
