Dreams are very special, <br />They light a spark inside, <br />That lets my imagination out, <br />So that it can run wild. <br /> <br />Through the forest where I fell, <br />As a little child, <br />Then on to the meadow where, <br />All the flowers and weeds grew wild. <br /> <br />The sandy beach on a foreign coast, <br />Where I learnt to swim, <br />The nasty teacher back at school, <br />Who said I was 'quite dim'. <br /> <br />Now my mind is resting, <br />It's no longer out to play, <br />I have to go to work now, <br />And while away the day. <br /> <br />Dreams of a better place, <br />Are what we all need, <br />To keep us strong through, <br />The roughness of this world.<br /><br />Cathryn Martin<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-better-place-9/
