Walking through the flames of hell, <br />Head turning, <br />Feet burning, <br />Heart yearning. <br /> <br />Approaching Satan's throne, <br />Eyes scorched, <br />Body tourched, <br />No remorse. <br /> <br />Offering up my fate to him, <br />Heart crying, <br />Soul lying, <br />Body dying. <br /> <br />Preparing for eternity here, <br />Live no more, <br />It's the final score, <br />Forevermore. <br /> <br />He gestures toward me, <br />He seems amused, <br />I'm confused, <br />Searching for clues. <br /> <br />My soul returns to my body, <br />Full of pain, <br />Mouth profane, <br />Fiery rain. <br /> <br />I am not good enough for his world, <br />What comes next, <br />My life was hexed, <br />Mind now perplexed. <br /> <br />Suddenly arriving at purgatory, <br />Stuck in-between, <br />Future unforeseen, <br />Nightmarish dream. <br /> <br />Eternity worse than hell, <br />Again I hate, <br />Soul irate, <br />Left to determine my final fate.<br /><br />J R Reynolds<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/stuck-between-heaven-and-hell/
