Just a group of words, <br />like ' I hate you, I love you'. <br />Looking for a sign or sound, <br />three syllables. <br />Like just a word, <br />three syllables. <br /> <br />It leaves me hazy, <br />leading me stir-crazy. <br />This instinct, this thought <br />of something forbidden. <br /> <br />Searching for that rhythmic sequence <br />which I will not take. <br />Now I leave with respect intact! <br />And with honour I bestow. <br /> <br />I've undressed you, <br />I've devoured you. <br />I've walked the tight-rope, <br /> between love and desire. <br />This I will never tyre. <br /> <br />Viewing from a distance, <br />I've seen your movement like dance. <br />Floating about, <br />within this mantra like dream. <br />Whilst unable to look, <br />leaving me with sleep to dream you.<br /><br />Allan Farran<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/three-syllables/
