I listen and don't listen these days
Love and not love.
Very early
I have known
The truth that it's false.

Validated by others' existence
is The truth of my existence.

But oh!
When I behold,
A masquerade,
Every time I step outward,
A frenzy takes over,
I start peeling my own face,
Searching for the masks,
Drops of life blood fall.
I don't have gaudy masks.

How disheartening,
The experience when someone's mask falls,
The real face comes aface,
dead and pale.

What they lose,
Is their mask false,
What I lose is my faith true.

O nature it's not easy,
Not easy it is,
To rebuild the broken faith,
Faith in humanity again.

They say the world is your reflection.
But oh!
When I see this mirror, i see dropping rising masks
I disagree

My soul believes
It's not what it sees.

Very early I have lost the faith
Pseudo faith now I have
For this
I wait for the Punishment
From nature ‘red in tooth and claw'
I am born out of you
But I deny being your part
What I say will be called heresy
But what I feel is what I say
oh nature give me the strength
I cant wear a mask
Let me not be disparaged
Let me be.
Give me the strength
Let me be, me.

Nandini Singh

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/oh-nature-is-it-you/
