“Single Star” <br /> <br />I look upon a starry night <br />Above the heavens I see a light. <br />And in that moment I feel it there: <br />That persistent ache; I feel so bare. <br />I can’t deny it; it’s too strong to resist, <br />So I stare into this brilliant bliss. <br />And among the clouds a light shines on; <br />So bright at first, but then it’s gone. <br />And I sense it, in my soul, <br />That dulling pain we share and know. <br />That’s when I felt it, so persistent, <br />In the sky a single star that night.... <br />Was fading from existence.<br /><br />Jessy Liz<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/single-star/
