I'll stand there in the funeral yard dressed in black
Knowing that the one I love won't be coming back
All the friends and family standing around crying that
your gone
I can't bring myself to say it but I know you've went on
Tell the father in Heaven I hope to see him and you soon
But I'll be missing you and when wishing you were here
When I look at the moon. There's so many things I wanna
make amends for but as they close the casket I'll just
have to close the door on the fact of saying I'm sorry
for it's so hard to take words back cause when you say
in anger then it's kind of a fact that you mean what you say
And the words won't never go away. But dear loved one
please have a safe trip home and go on to your reward for our
Father is waiting and now you can lay down your sword. You've
fought the good fight and from this world need to be saved
just lay down and close your eyes and wait for the father to
Open all the graves. Enter in my faithful servant for a work
Well, done come before the gates and be judged by my son.
Go on to your reward my dear loved one and rest in peace
for the you have won

James (Bluesman)Cooper

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/go-on-to-your-reward/
