Alone with your glass cased heart <br />Sison <br />April 14,2008 <br />2: 25 p.m. <br /> <br />calming breeze caress your face <br />it cradles your sadness <br />and those troubles you poorly hide <br />evident only in your tear that refuses to fall <br /> <br />your world becomes silent <br />downtrodden and alone <br />as you escape looking for any shelter <br />before your legs fail you again <br /> <br />‘coz the drought is weakening <br /> the night never lets you sleep <br />and all those sorrow is entombed <br />inside your glass cased heart <br /> <br />all the inspiration is ebbing away <br />you yearn for a change <br />wishing for an ardent empathy <br />but there's no one you see as filthy <br /> <br />you light a single candle <br />so tonight you won’t be alone <br />watching silently, wanting, <br />envying it’s solemn dance <br /> <br />then you look up the canopy of stars <br />and shed a tear for each light <br />wanting the dawn to rise anew <br />and begging for a chance to roam <br /> <br />condemned, that is what you feel <br />bound to the embrace of the earth <br />feel only the harshness of sands <br />the dryness of human emotions <br /> <br />broken in every sense of life <br /> the devil is always at your back <br />his finger laying at your shoulder <br />wasting your every chance to stop crying <br /> <br />again you run after the sun woke you up <br />to find another shelter for your heart <br />but the much needed empathy is gone <br />for there are no one as filthy as you are<br /><br />Albert Arsenio Sison<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/alone-with-your-glass-cased-heart/
