A violent storm crashes against my window as a smile the reflection of the moonlight hits my forehead revealing the aging of my skin, the heavy tapping increases. Followed by a thud of anger in the air and a crash of light illuminating my front room, yet here I sit by the warmth of my fire, the flames flicker as we sit here in calamity <br /> In the eye of the storm <br /> You’re sat beside me now as you always are <br /> My loyalist friend <br /> I grasp your hand from fear of losing you in this confusing paradise <br /> You look across the room 'I love you don't be scared' <br /> And all of a sudden the storm <br /> The violent sky <br /> The roaring giants <br /> No longer seem so scary <br /> The crackling whispers are dampened by your love <br /> And I fear no more<br /><br />Jacob Andrew Jarman<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/i-simply-remember-my-favourite-things/
