Moon gulls mass, of course, at night <br />You will not see them often <br />They are only for the human eye in transit <br />When they flit in for the kill <br /> <br />A man just died there in the street <br />And down in the bowels of some nameless building <br />Bored morticians tossed a coin to decide <br />That it was just his time - <br />The moon gulls never got a mention <br />(Their peck-marks leave no contusion) <br /> <br />They had watched him raise his glass and sing <br />'To you, My Sweet, whoever you are!
