Sometimes
Food ought to be shared
But others
Not.
Sometimes
It's okay to give
Your sister
Your friend
A token of your love
In small delicious amounts
But some things
We can keep to
Ourselves.
And red
Chewy
Fake with
'Natural' and
Artificial flavors
This is one of them.
This is best enjoyed in solitude
There is not enough
For
One
In the overpriced
Under filled
Cardboard container
But the taste
Dissipates ever so
Slowly
Making you want it
Making you need it
Torturing you deliciously
Turning you into a
Fiend
Who shares with
No one
Keep it to yourself.
Each red
Capsule is a treat
Alone
But eaten two
At a
Time
A smoothie
Fat free!
And gluten free
A candy that isn't made
It's
Just Born.
And guarantees satisfaction
And they make you suffer
One
At a time
And though you promised
To work on other
Endeavors
Their magnetism
Entices you.
It is hard to keep a secret
When everybody knows
The sound they make
When the box tips over.
Then they pout
When you won't
Share.
But they're your delight
Yours to savor
To the last
Red
Capsule
And the world just
Seems a little brighter
When you
Chomp
Down on the fruit of
Life.
So when your dad
Steals
Your
Mike and Ikes
Don't let him
Get away
With it.

Tsunami HiroshiSu

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/ode-to-mike-and-ikes/
