As I walked through the garden, <br />Of purple and red flowers, <br />I saw a long white, <br />Picket fence. <br /> <br />As I walked along it, <br />Around it to another, <br />The next door's fence, <br />Came in view. <br /> <br />Perhaps from having, <br />Better wear, <br />This one caught my fancy. <br />It seemed to work wonders, <br />Around the house it was surrounding. <br /> <br />The two picket fences, ' <br />Were playing 'I'm better.' <br />So I counted the number of flowers, <br />Each had divided. <br /> <br />And count as I may, <br />I came up with the same, <br />So for these two gardens, <br />The divide was the same. <br /> <br />It was a small divide.<br /><br />Vera Sidhwa<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/fence-the-small-divide/
