Life revolves, each person has a role to play, all <br />afraid of letting down their guard, in case someone <br />makes them care about another. <br /> <br />Empathy, you say? <br /> <br />What it's actually called is indifference and it <br />brings a sense of distance, a feeling of fatalistic <br />despair. <br /> <br />Yes, no one cares to become involved in this or any <br />other circumstance. <br /> <br />Life evolves, yet never moves forward, it's the same <br />now as when it was past. <br /> <br />People regard one another with suspicion, doubting <br />truths told in unexpected traumas, afraid to believe <br />or bring aid, lest they be slapped in the face for <br />doing a good deed. <br /> <br />Where will it lead? When will mistrust be brought <br />to light and sentenced for what it's not? <br /> <br />Authority figures running rough-shod over fragile <br />human beings, abused and hurt by situational <br />circumstances beyond life's control. <br /> <br />Though certain people have done things in the past <br />that got them into trouble, those days being over, <br />they're still held tightly against certain individuals. <br /> <br />Authority figures refusing to let go and allow for <br />reform and changed lives in the present. <br /> <br />Pushing and herding those individuals into corrals <br />of other's mistrust and doubt, never letting them <br />forget, never letting them go. <br /> <br />Life revolves, each person has a role to play, <br />everyone has left out caring for another human being.<br /><br />RoseAnn V.
