In the initial beginning of acclaims <br />There was a statement about darkness <br />There was a statement about light <br />All thought lived saw their wonder <br />Some loved the confusion about darkness <br />Other then their reality in the light <br />In dark their story had no vision <br />The secrets it held could be hid <br />Light gave its view about things <br />Its living actuality could be said <br />So darkness covered their wickedness <br />Their act of wrong had no doubt <br />Suddenly a mystery out of no where <br />The truth or falseness of its fact <br />A question they have to address now <br />Its light gave illusive hearts and minds <br />So they gave new titles to it <br />Call it a portal to the dead <br />The deep, a bottomless pit and Tartarus <br />Then came one from shadows <br />E Pluribus Unum <br />Another opinion of things said <br />Unto him became them allied <br />To whom the unknown host honor befell <br />Darkness became known to all <br />Not able to hide its snares <br />(Darkness being doubt <br />The light its reality)<br /><br />Alexander Coppedge<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/light-and-darkness-10/
