To the grand Puppet Master, the so-called leader <br />Who holds power above our heads <br />Who controls our every moves and every thoughts <br />Through your deceitful and cunny threads. <br /> <br />I must applaud you for your manipulative ways <br />You have made us your own marionettes <br />And with a snap of your fingers we do as you desire <br />Whenever you sense any threats. <br /> <br />You want all to be everything you control <br />Anything else would just not do <br />You command those around you to follow and obey <br />As marionettes we must please you. <br /> <br />Yet I have to say, Puppet Master, your performance is done <br />Your act has finally gotten old <br />I'm tired of doing everything that you want <br />I'm sick of being what I'm told. <br /> <br />You think you can control me and snap me back straight <br />But that I must give a laugh <br />For its too late to control me, this marionette is through <br />It was all on your behalf. <br /> <br />I thank you Puppet Master for opening my eyes <br />And revealing your twisted means <br />Cause now I can see what you truly are <br />You can't trick me with your 'kind' scenes. <br /> <br />So with my courage so sharp I cut off my strings <br />At last I am finally free <br />And from now on all my thoughts and actions I do <br />Will be controlled by only me.<br /><br />Genevieve Pilat<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/puppet-master-12/
