Sitting on my sofa I'm experiencing a paradox. <br />My wife is sitting besides me operating her laptop, <br />She is playing internet games with a host of her internet buddies. <br />Now she might be here beside me, yet she really is not. <br />In actual fact I'm alone, this goes on for hours and hours. <br />She is here, yet she is not there. <br />Sometimes she yells and screams at her internet buddies, <br />and mumbles to the screen of her laptop. <br />She might be here but I needn't talk to her because she is not there, <br />lost to the laptop paradox thats sweeping the world. <br />It is a cruel irony that a powerful laptop computer <br />where one can communicate with anyone in the world <br />is such a destroyer of relationships as they play games <br />for hours and hours all day every day every evening <br />the laptop is a nightmare. <br />Don't go there. <br />8/6/2014 <br />By Jerry Behr©<br /><br />Jerry Behr Number 2<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/paradox-64/
