ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />STORY: Chinese police shot dead 13 attackers in the country's restive Xinjiang region on Saturday morning (June 21), after the group drove a car into a Kashgar police station and detonated an explosive device, state television reported.<br/> <br />Three police officers were "lightly wounded" in the attack on Saturday morning, but there were no casualties among the public, China's state television, CCTV said.<br/> <br />"We just received the following information. This morning, a group of gangsters drove a car into a police station in Kashgar prefecture's Kargilik county and detonated an explosive device. Policemen took decisive action and killed 13 gangsters. Three policemen suffered from light injuries.<br/> <br />No member of the public was injured or killed. Investigations are ongoing.
