Back in your own Backyard - Billie Holiday <br />In New York on Janary 6 and January 12 1938 two recording sessions were organized. The first as Teddy Wilson and his Orchestra and the second as Billie Holiday and her Orchestra. A total of 12 tunes were recorded. <br />Buck Clayton trumpet, Lester Young tenor sax, Teddy Wilson piano, Freddie Green guitar, Walter Page bass and Jo Jones drums. Billie did the vocals. Of course I cannot show you film of Billie singing this famous classic.This morning I filmed a number of shots from our own backyard as a background to this wonderful music of Billy and her fabulous swinging musicians.
