A Russian freight train has been derailed after an explosion on the tracks in the Donetsk region of Ukraine.<br /><br />It happened in between the stations of Llovaysk and Kuteinikovo on Sunday evening.<br /><br />On Friday, a ceasefire was announced by the Ukrainian president, Petro Poroshenko, although fighting has continued on both sides.<br /><br />One railway mechanic said he believed the attack on the train was part of the ongoing confrontation.<br /><br />“He, (Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko), announced the truce <br />at 2200, issuing his order but already at 2300 they started to bomb <br />Slaviansk. It does not look like a truce to me.”<br /><br />The incident is still being investigated but railway staff say the blast was aimed at the centre of the train.<br /><br />Fourteeen carriages were thrown off the rails. No-one is reported to have been injured.
