Don Juannabe <br />Date: February 10,2011 <br /> <br />Blowing restless across the globe <br />Wearing a cold and wintry robe <br />Biting all that offers love <br />Growling at the stars above <br /> <br />A fickle flame that cannot thrive <br />Frozen by inherent pride <br />Can’t reach out to touch the sun <br />For fear the glory be undone <br /> <br />Deep within, a tempest blows <br />Offering naught but ice and snow <br />A raging gale of lust and greed <br />Trampling love in a stampede <br /> <br />Howling forth with no restraint <br />Unmindful of the souls to taint <br />Innards grumbling for the kill <br />In ruthless pursuit of carnal thrills <br /> <br />The coat of stainless armor shines <br />Denies the heart and renders blind <br />Locked down tight, beneath the steel <br />Numbed to what all others feel <br /> <br />No remorse for loss or pain <br />The need too great to be restrained <br />Shrugging at the gaping hole <br />A cavern now without a soul <br /> <br />Every breath to steal away <br />Left to spoil, to rot; decay <br />Deaf to songs that whisper soft <br />Too smug to even feel the loss <br /> <br />Nips and wounds without shame <br />Plays a raunchy mindless game <br />A lothario with a heart of stone <br />Fills the cup, then moves along <br /> <br /> <br />********************************************* <br />Copyright © 2011 Leria Hawkins, All Rights Reserved<br /><br />Leria Hawkins<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/don-juannabe/
