Blue eyes shining, haunting my dreams <br />I wake to find them with me even still <br />Blue eyes, to shake them is harder than it seems <br />Sometimes I wonder if the memory can kill <br /> <br />Slice through my soul like a knife <br />The two oceans sweeping me up like sand <br />Washed about this random, haphazard life <br />Not knowing if the next tide I can withstand <br /> <br />Three hundred and some odd days <br />Seems like forever since they've last seen me <br />Yet I still see them in so many ways <br />Nothing from their gaze seems to set me free <br /> <br />Life rolls on with or without them finding me <br />Whether I want it to move forward or not <br />I wonder if my hazel stare she ever sees <br />But, I would bet that me, she's all but forgot <br /> <br />So I will dream of those endless skies of blue <br />That I could look upon like the night sky <br />All too oft dripping gently like the morning dew <br />And all too likely, will do so 'till I die <br /> <br />((February 19th,2013))<br /><br />Danny Speicher<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/endless-skies-of-blue/
