Francis Duggan - A Blatant Lie

2014-06-24 1 Dailymotion

We'll always have the haves and the have nots society is structured that way
And the poor keep getting poorer that does seem sad to say
And the wealthy getting wealthier with the passing of each day
Though their fair share of taxes they never seem to pay.

In the World of the have nots there is want and poverty
And those who work for under award wages must struggle ceaselessly
Just for to make ends meet of a good life they must despair
And many must grow poorer just for one new millionaire.

If some see me as a whinger well that's okay with me
At least for the poor battlers i do feel empathy
Not everybody can be a millionaire some have been known to say
At least not the poor millions who work for a lousy pay.

It must have been some wealthy person who passed on the advice
That every individual on his or her destiny has a choice
Does this advice apply to the millions who of malnutrition die
The one who first uttered these words told such a blatant lie.

Francis Duggan

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-blatant-lie/
