Men with big egos I meet every day <br />Some in their prime, some middle aged and some ageing and gray <br />And those with big egos not hard to recognize <br />Body language expose traits I have come to realize <br />Men with big egos many in every town <br />Their hair may be black, foxy, blond or gray or brown <br />They do grow older but they don't grow wise <br />Their swollen egos to arrogance give rise <br />Men with big egos live on every street <br />They live enamoured in their self conceit <br />Big egos in the pubs and shopping centres and in the park playing cricket and football <br />Though ignorance is bliss or so they tell us and pride it always comes before a fall <br />Big egos as per usual in abundance the truth is one can meet them anywhere <br />And I should know as I have a big ego and fellows like me have never been rare.<br /><br />Francis Duggan<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/big-egos/
