Like the weeds of the garden that stifle every flower <br />That is what they are those who abuse their power <br />In their dealings with others they need to be in control <br />That's what happens when darkness blocks light from the soul, <br />Much does seem to need more or so it is said <br />Suppose this is what happens when power goes to one's head, <br />Of crimes against humanity we often hear of and read <br />'Tis from abuse of power that to such crimes does lead <br />Many abuse their power through the medium of fear <br />Of such people we often do read of and hear <br />Those who use their power in a positive way are worth talking about <br />But those who trash talk and demean people the Human World can do without <br />Since they do not believe on a fair go for all <br />Such people in their ways are so very small.<br /><br />Francis Duggan<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/like-the-weeds-of-the-garden/
