Thai police bring in Alexander Mastusov<br/> <br />He is accused in Russia of organizing what was once one of the most dangerous criminal gangs in the country<br/> <br />Thai police say he was involved in over 60 kidnappings, as well as murdering four people in 1996<br/> <br />They believe Matusov had been travelling in and out of Thailand and its neighbouring countries using fake passports for several years<br/> <br />They finally caught up with him in a supermarket about 37 miles east of Bangkok<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (Russian) VICE-CONSUL OF THE RUSSIAN EMBASSY IN THAILAND, ALEXEY FALUNIN, SAYING:<br/> <br />"This has been one of the biggest arrests in recent years because Alexander Matusov is accused in Russia of organizing one of the most dangerous criminal gangs operating from mid-1990's till 2008 or 2009. During that time the gang was responsible for about 60 murders."<br/> <br />Thai authorities said they are preparing to extradite Matusov back to Russia.
