Grammy-winning R&B singer Chris Brown rejected a no-jail plea deal on Wednesday (June 25) in his misdemeanor assault case and will go to trial on Sept. 8.<br/> <br />Brown, 25, had failed to agree to the no-jail plea accord by a noon deadline. The deal would have sentenced him to time already served.<br/> <br />Brown's attorney Mark Geragos said it was a decision based on principle.<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE Defense attorney Mark Geragos saying (English):<br/> <br />"They made an offer.
