Algiers erupted into joy as Algeria moved into the last 16 of the World Cup after a 1-1 draw with Russia.<br /><br />They join Belgium from Group H in the knockout stage. <br /><br />The fans attending the game in Curitiba celebrated their first ever qualification from the group stage:<br /><br />“It’s the first time we’ve got to the next round, it’s wonderful, it’s a first in our history in the World Cup. We’ve succeeded in getting to the second phase, it’s wonderful,” said one delirious Algerian.<br /><br />“We hope to win against Germany and bring happiness to our country,” chirped another.<br /><br />That is the rub Algeria meet one of the tournament favourites Germany on Moday 30th June in Porto Alegre
