The 'Midnight Mover,' soul man Bobby Womack dies aged 70

Soul singer, musician and songwriter Bobby Womack has died at the age of 70.<br /><br />The cause of his demise has not been revealed, but he suffered from cancer and Alzheimer’s disease and fought drug addiction.<br /><br />Womack played, recorded and wrote for some of the industry’s greatest names including Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Wilson Pickett.<br /><br />Womack was also a session guitarist and played on tracks by Sam Cooke, Aretha Franklin and Dusty Springfield.<br /><br />Womack wrote the smash Rolling Stones hit “It’s All Over Now.” <br /><br />In the late 60s Bobby Womack started to use cocaine and by the 70s he was an addict.<br /><br />Bobby Womack was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009.
