Thailand's military junta display tonnes of illegal ammunition and weapons<br/> <br />The haul includes nearly 2000 guns, more than 30,000 rounds of ammunition and 256 explosive devices.<br/> <br />They say the weapons were confiscated during the first few weeks since they seized power on May 22.<br/> <br />The junta also says it's issued an arrest warrant for Jakrapob Penkair, the executive secretary of a recently established opposition group<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (Thai) DEPUTY COMMANDER OF METROPOLITAN POLICE DIVISION 1, POLICE COLONEL SONGPOL WATTANACHAI, SAYING:<br/> <br />"Jakrapob Penkair was one of the many people who are found to have been behind the (underground) movement and are involved with these weapons."<br/> <br />The opposition group, known as Free Thais for Human Rights and Democracy, says it opposes what it calls a "military dictatorship"<br/> <br />Jakrapob is currently living in self-imposed exile.
