ROUGH CUT (NO NARRATION)<br/> <br />All that glitters was on the runway at Elie Saab's latest Haute Couture show on Wednesday (July 9), with pearls and sequins cascading to the floor in a glittering display of light. In keeping with earlier shows at Paris's Autumn/Winter 2014/15 couture week, the designer displayed a collection of gowns which would have had any self-respecting fairytale princess salivating. Fabrics including tulle, satin and silk were so richly embroidered they rustled past the fashion pack seated in the front rows and could almost certainly have stood up on their own. Pearls, sequins and Swarovski crystals covered the delicate fabrics and on some creations not a square centimetre was spared the couturier's needle. A subtle palette of pastels -- pink and blue -- gave the whole collection a delicate femininity typical of the Lebanese designer whose work has dressed Hollywood and real-life royalty.
