ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />STORY: A vocal crowd demonstrated outside the Israeli embassy in Washington on Friday (July 11) to protest air strikes by Israel on Palestinians in Gaza.<br/> <br />Demonstrators included Palestinians and non-Palestinians who were angry over Israeli air strikes this week that have left nearly 100 people dead, according to medical officials in Gaza, including 23 children.<br/> <br />Hundreds more have been injured.<br/> <br />Protesters demanded a "free Palestine" and and end to U.S. funding of the Israeli military.<br/> <br />Some of those gathered were there to commemorate individual victims of the Israeli airstrikes, which Israel said were in response to cross-border rocket attacks by Islamist militants.<br/> <br />One young Palestinian woman, speaking into the bullhorn, told the protesters she is commemorating a 6-year-old boy who died in the airstrikes on Thursday.<br/> <br />Israel said on Friday it would not bow to international pressure to end air strikes in Gaza despi
