The morning commute turned deadly in Moscow Tuesday.<br/> <br />An underground train derailed between two stations killing at least 12 people and injuring up to 120.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (Russian) INTERIOR MINISTRY OFFICIAL ROMAN SYOMUSHKIN, SAYING:<br/> <br />"The number of casualties is being updated, the investigation department of the Moscow Investigative Committee has launched a criminal investigation."<br/> <br />Officials say there seemed to be no suggestion of foul play.<br/> <br />Injured passengers were carried out of the metro stations on stretchers, and helicopters ferried the most seriously hurt to hospitals.<br/> <br />Stunned passengers who got out on their own were met with help by emergency crews.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (Russian) OLGA, PASSENGER OF CRASHED TRAIN, SAYING:<br/> <br />"All carriages were twisted."
