ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />The U.S government is aware of the crash in eastern Ukraine of a Malaysian Airlines jet and is seeking more information, a State Department spokesperson said Thursday.<br/> <br />"At this point we don't have any confirmed information about casualties, the cause or additional details," spokesperson Jen Psaki told reporters at a press briefing. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to those on board, their families and their loved ones. We're closely monitoring the situation."<br/> <br />The plane went down Thursday near the village of Grabovo, sending debris across an area up to about 15 km (nine miles) in diameter.<br/> <br />Separatist rebels from nearby said they had seen the jet crashing but denied the rebels had shot the plane down.<br/> <br />All 295 people aboard the plane were killed, a Ukrainian interior ministry official said, blaming "terrorists" using a ground-to-air missile.
