In our 13th episode, we introduce a healthy recipe of deliciously cooked rice served with various vegetables and ssamjang made with doenjang! Plus a favorite Korean soup, spinach doenjangguk. <br />Ssambap with vegetables, rice and ssamjang can be made with a wide range of ingredients. Spinach doenjangguk, made with doenjang and seafood, is another important food in Korea's culinary culture! <br />Don't miss the chefs' mission before they cook and fun information about Korean cuisine! <br />Korean cuisine with two chefs! <br /> <br />Recipe <br />1) Ssambap <br />1. Mix pre-soaked rice, glutinous rice and black rice. Cook over high heat for 5 minutes in water. When it boils, turn down the heat to medium and cook for 5 minutes. When the rice is cooked,let it sit over low heat for another 10 minutes. <br />2. Put rice in a big bowl and season with 1Ts sesame seed oil and 1ts salt. Cover with plastic wrap. <br />3. Wash lettuce and sesame leaves and drain. <br />4. Blanch individual leaves of cabbage, napa cabbage and spinach with 1ts salt. Wash in cold water to remove warmth. Drain and remove excess water. <br />5. Cut prepared kelp in 10cm-long pieces and quickly cook in boiling water. Quickly take out when the color changes, wash in cold water and drain. <br />6. Mix all the ingredients for ssamjang to make ssamjang with nuts. <br />(4Ts doenjang, 1Ts gochujang, 2ts fine pepper powder, 1Ts oligosaccharide, 2ts sugar, 1Ts minced garlic, 1Ts onion juice, 1Ts sesame seeds, 1Ts chopped peanuts, 1Ts chopped walnuts,1Ts chopped pine nuts) <br />7. Take 1Ts of pre-seasoned rice and firmly wrap in any of the lettuce, sesame or cabbage leaves with 1g of ssamjang. <br /> <br />2) Spinach Doenjangguk <br />1. Trim the spinach and blanch 2-3 leaves at a time. Drain in cold water. <br />2. Wash clams or shrimp in cold water 2-3 times. Drain. <br />3. Cut green onions into 0.3cm pieces. <br />4. Make sauce with 3Ts doenjang, 2ts pepper powder, 2ts minced garlic. <br />5. Add seasoning to water. Add shrimp or clams and boil for 1 minute over high heat. Add spinach and boil over high heat for 5 minutes. Add green onions and cook for 5 minutes over medium heat.
