S Special Representative for Pakistan and Afghanistan James Dobbins called on Chief of Army Staff (Raheel Sharif) and Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Monday. <br /> <br />According to ISPR, matters of mutual interest including regional security, Pak-US ties and latest situation of Afghanistan came under discussion. <br /> <br />Pakistan also demanded to restrict terrorists’ movement alongside Pak-Afghan border. <br /> <br />Ch Nisar said a peaceful Afghanistan was important for the overall security of the region. <br /> <br />Earlier, James Dobbins also met with Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz. <br /> <br />The two sides also discussed developments in Afghanistan. <br /> <br />Sartaj reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to a peaceful, stable and united Afghanistan. He appreciated the efforts of the US Secretary of State John Kerry's contribution to an amicable understanding on election-related issues. <br /> <br />Sartaj Aziz highlighted the instrumental role of Pakistan-US strategic dialogue in fostering closer collaboration between the two countries in diverse fields including trade, economy, energy, counter-terrorism, education and science and technology. <br /> <br />He also highlighted Pakistan's monumental effort to address the threat of terrorism and underscored that the military operation, Zarb-e-Azb, was addressing this menace without any discrimination.
