These streets tell the story of Typhoon Matmo.<br/> <br />The category two storm slammed into Taiwan, Wednesday, with heavy rains and 90 mph (miles per hour) winds.<br/> <br />At least one person was killed.<br/> <br />And residents were left shaken by the storm's fury:<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (Mandarin) UNIDENTIFIED RESIDENT SAYING:<br/> <br />"The winds were so strong that we couldn't see the iron house next to our house."<br/> <br />During a thunderstorm off the west coast, a TransAsia Airways plane crashed on its second attempt at landing.<br/> <br />Forty-seven people were killed, and 11 others were taken to a hospital for their injuries.<br/> <br />Typhoon Matmo downgraded to a tropical storm as it headed to China.
