First run Saturdays at 8:10 am Paris time. </p><br />This week we’re taking a look back at some of the very best stories told by our Observers this year, everywhere from Greece to Sudan. <br />Story 1: Greece<br />The video you’re about to see was sent to us in March by a man detained inside the hospital ward of a Greek prison. He filmed the dire conditions inmates live in, many of them petty criminals with serious health problems – some of them close to death.<br /> <br />Story 2: Sudan<br />Since South Sudan became independent, it has lost the majority of its oil ressources. It’s still got the oil-rich region of South Kordofan, but separatists are now gaining in strength there.
