It was scheduled as a regular earnings news conference, but McDonald's Japan CEO, Sarah Casanova, wanted to say sorry:<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (English) CEO OF MCDONALD'S JAPAN, SARAH CASANOVA, SAYING:<br/> <br />"Firstly, I would like to extend my sincere apology to our valued customers for any anxiety or concern that this situation may have caused."<br/> <br />The apology was the latest of a series from McDonalds following revelations that the company had used expired chicken products supplied by Shanghai Husi Food -- the company at the center of a food safety scare in China.<br/> <br />But Casanova says her company is moving forward with transparency:<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (English) CEO OF MCDONALD'S JAPAN, SARAH CASANOVA, SAYING:<br/> <br />"So today, I would like to announce that we are expanding the availability of sourcing information on our website for all of our customers to see."<br/> <br />Casanova says McDonald's has now cut all ties with Husi Food and has narrowed its sourcing of chicken to suppliers in Tha
