Incoming European Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker says he wants to get more women into top jobs at the EU executive.<br /><br />He wants at least ten females joining his team, which is meant to start work in November.<br /><br />The current commission has 9 women out of 28 commissioners. <br /><br />But Juncker’s commission could have even less, based on current nominations from member states.<br /><br />The Czech Republic and Sweden have nominated two female politicians to be their respective commissioners: Vera Jourova and Cecilia Malmström <br /><br />All the top jobs are set to be decided at an EU summit on August 30th.<br /><br />BUt the European Parliament is threatening to use its powers to block the Juncker commission if there are not enough women nominated.
