The death toll in Karachi beach tragedy has climbed to 38 as another body of a boy was found at Manora beach, Dunya News reported. <br /> <br />The bathers were among thousands who had taken to the beaches to celebrate the Eid-ul-Fitr holiday, which began on Tuesday and continued until Friday. <br /> <br />Earlier today (Saturday), Pakistan Navy resumed operation at Sea View in Karachi to recover more bodies of the drowned picnickers. <br /> <br />In a statement, a Navy spokesman said helicopters, boats and divers are taking part in the operation. <br /> <br />Navy helicopters were used in the rescue operation because it was difficult for divers to retrieve the bodies in high tide. <br />Several ambulances were seen on the beach where the relatives of some of the missing anxiously awaiting word of their loved ones. <br /> <br />So far, identities of six bodies could not be confirmed. <br /> <br />Thousands of residents regularly throng Karachi's beaches on public holidays, with few public parks for picnics.
