A powerful earthquake has struck southwestern China, killing at least 150 people according to local media reports. <br /><br /> The US Geological Survey has measured the magnitude of the quake at 6.3, impacting at a depth of 10 kilometres.<br /><br /> Houses and power lines have been downed, with over 180 people thought to have been injured.<br /><br /> The epicentre of the quake was in Ludian county, in Yunnan province. It is being reported as the strongest to hit the region in 14 years.
