After 11 days of action across 17 sports, the Commonweath Games ended with a bang at Scotland's Hampden Park.<br/> <br />Glasgow 2014 games have been hailed as "the standout Games in the history of the movement" by Commonwealth Games Federation President Prince Imran.<br/> <br />England topped the medal table for the first time in 28 years, with Australia and Canada coming in second and third respectively.<br/> <br />Scotland the host finished fourth.<br/> <br />Glaswegian singer Lulu opened up the end ceremony.<br/> <br />Australian singer Kylie Minogue added some glamour to the party-like atmosphere, giving the crowd a glimpse of what awaits them in the next games on the Gold Coast in four years time.<br/> <br />The ceremony finally came to a close when the audience and athletes from 71 Commonwealth nations and territories joined a lone piper in singing a mass rendition of Auld Lang Syne.
