<p>Iconic to some, ugly to others, Dublin’s Poolbeg Chimneys have been beacons in the city’s skyline since 1970. This video, taken by a drone, gives a previously unseen view of the darkened interior of one of the chimneys. The video emerged amid a period of uncertainty over the future of the towers. At 680 feet high, they are the tallest structures in Dublin, visible from most parts of the city.</p><p>After being decommissioned in 2010, local debate has continued regarding whether to demolish the pair or to preserve them as historic symbols of industrial progress.
